They had a new exhibit - 'aussie aviary' - a large cage you could walk right into and pay two dollars for a couple of sticks of bird seed. And the cage was full - very very full of budgies. They were so lovely - particularly when they all took off at once and flew from one side of the cage to the other - like bits in a kaleidoscope - Joe Ridley loved them. His face was glowing when a couple perched on his hand to peck at his food stick. It was like a miracle for him. And I thought of you and your wild visitors. And I wish I could bring the boys to come see you. Joy to you and all your friends! We were all unhappy about a cockatoo in a cage in a garden, but it was on the inventory. After we'd left Melbourne we were pleased to hear that Cocky's persistent pecking at the combination lock on his cage paid off and he fled. Perhaps he is Michael now. By the way, Mrs C and I wonder if you are losing any of your friends.m.a.r.cooperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02878007603708042253noreply@blogger.com
